Audi TT

There are eight models in the Audi TT range, with prices starting at £26,475 and going all the way up to £44,775, making it one of the most affordable premium sports cars on the market.  Sitting at the top of the range is the 2.5litre, five-cylinder turbo engine, which is enough to make any driver want to nip across the Channel to Germany, where some of the autobahns are totally devoid of speed limits.  There is also a turbo-diesel model that can more than compete with its petrol-powered cousins.

The Audi TT is a light, but powerful machine with an average fuel consumption of approximately 43mpg, an improvement on previous models.  Environmentally, the 2010 edition has had its CO2 emissions lowered to between 139-214g/km, so whilst you are enjoying the slightly raw sound of the exhaust, as you fire her up, your ‘green’ conscience can remain clear.  Performance wise, the TT will go from 0-60 in 6.1 seconds, which means it is no slouch when compared with its competitors.  All the usual equipment is included, along with ESP, climate control, curtain airbags for both driver and passenger, traction control, SATNAV and all the latest media connections, including an IPod dock and Bluetooth compatibility.

Overall, the Audi TT is a hot and stylish little car; probably the only negative aspect is its small size, though it is, after all, a two-seat sports car.  Though rear visibility has improved, it is still not ideal, which means you will always have to keep an eye on what is happening in your rear-view mirrors.
